Luigi, a first-generation Italian American, was born in Santa Barbara, California. Raised by "old school" immigrant parents, he quickly learned the importance of sacrifice, hard work, devotion, and family. As a young man, he embraced these values and married his high school sweetheart, Ruby, becoming a father to a daughter and a son while still in his teenage years.
In 1994, Luigi and Ruby faced marital challenges that led them to surrender their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. Over the years, their family grew and flourished as they committed themselves to serving the Lord through various ministries, including home fellowships, children's ministries, and outreach to the homeless.
In 1999, Luigi was called to serve as an Assistant Pastor at Calvary Chapel Palm Springs. His ministry expanded to include leadership of the High School Youth Group and chaplaincy at the Indio Juvenile Hall Detention Center.
However, in 2002, Luigi faced a challenging period when he temporarily stepped down from ministry due to personal struggles. This difficult road back was marked by lessons in God's forgiveness, grace, mercy, restoration, and love. It was a period of spiritual growth and transformation.
Today, Luigi and Ruby are humbly dedicated to serving the Lord and their community. Their journey together has been blessed, and they recently celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary. They take joy in their two wonderful adult children and cherish their role as grandparents to three beautiful grandchildren.
